Celery & Apple Juice Recipe

Celery is an amazing substance in that it actually takes more calories to digest it than it provides to the body. Celery juice is highly nutritious and one of the most hydrating foods we can put in our bodies. Because it is incredibly alkalizing, it equalizes the body’s PH, which is vital for peak health. The benefits of celery juice are associated with its varied nutritional content. Celery contains Vitamins B2, B6, C and K among others. There are also many other nutrients apart from vitamins. Iron, folic acid, potassium and calcium are found in celery. Celery juice has been used as a natural remedy for many years. Because it is a natural product, an individual can consume it without having any adverse health reactions.


Ingredients:

  • 3 stalks of celery
  • 3 apples
  • 1 stem broccoli (optional)
  • 1/2 lemon (optional)

Directions:

  1. Wash the fruit and vegetables using water and a stiff vegetable brush. Keep the leaves on the celery.
  2. Core the apples.
  3. Cut the peel off the lemon – some people like to leave this on but I find this makes the juice too bitter.
  4. Slice the fruit and vegetables to fit your juicer.
  5. Juice and enjoy.
